Mobile Market Procurement Coordinator
(Full Time)


The Mobile Market Procurement Coordinator will work with the Mobile Market team to procure fresh, affordable, and culturally appropriate food for Mobile Market delivery to Buffalo neighborhoods. The Mobile Market Procurement Coordinator’s primary role is to assist in building community around fresh food. This task is accomplished by operating mobile market locations, building relationships with both farmers & customers, and sharing knowledge about fresh food. The Mobile Market Procurement Coordinator works closely with local farms to promote and support the advancement of local food distribution. The Coordinator will also work with MAP Staff to train interns and Growing Green Youth on all aspects of market operations, coordinate operation of MAP’s Mobile Market, communicate with market sites, and the purchase and marketing of local producer products.

 

  • This is full time, year round position with a starting annual salary of $38,000.

  • Benefits include health insurance with options for dental and vision care.

  • Paid Time Off includes: 11 holidays & 10 days vacation per year + office closing between Dec. 25th - Jan. 1st

Mobile Market Specialist
(Part Time)

The Mobile Market Specialist will work with the Mobile Market team to bring fresh, affordable, and culturally appropriate food to Buffalo neighborhoods. The Market Specialist’s primary role is to build community around fresh food. This task is accomplished by operating mobile market locations, building relationships with customers, and sharing knowledge about fresh food.

 

  • This is a seasonal, part-time position 20-30 hours per week paying $16.50/hr.

  • Candidates must be available to work a flexible schedule on weekdays from mid-May to November 2023 to be eligible for this position. 

  • The Market offers optional vacation weeks for 4th of July week (July 3rd-7th) & Labor Day week (September 4th-8th).

  • Multiple Seasonal Positions are available.

Development Coordinator
(Americorps VISTA)

The Americorps VISTA Development Coordinator will be working to increase healthy food access, reduce hunger, & build partnerships in Buffalo to create a more sustainable and food secure city. The VISTA will expand delivery of MAP’s Food Access Initiative (FAI) by working closely with MAP staff to design marketing & communications materials, conduct beneficiary surveys, and strengthen existing funder relationships.

  • This is a full-time position available through the Americorps VISTA Program.

  • Flexible schedule and hybrid work is available.

  • VISTA Program Benefits include: Health Coverage*, training, childcare assistance if eligible, relocation allowance, living allowance, education award upon successful completion of service, choice of education award or end of service stipend.

Growing Green MAP Summer Youth Program
(Part Time)

Growing Green Summer Program Youth will work 20 hours a week for 6 weeks from July 10th to August 18th and are paid $14.20/hr.

 

In addition to completing this application please complete the Mayors Summer Youth application by March 31st.
