‘Raising the Roots’ is a food and education-based fundraising event hosted by and for Massachusetts Avenue Project (MAP). MAP Youth and local chefs will be dishing out harvest inspired morsels using fresh locally sourced ingredients, as well as paired local beverages.

Explore our farm and new building while indulging in fresh and seasonal foods at various stations, all crafted with a passion for farm-to-fork culinary cuisine. Throughout the Farmhouse & Community Food Training Center you will learn about our growing methods, interact with local chefs and beverage purveyors, and participate in hands-on youth lead demonstrations, all celebrating and showcasing what we do at MAP.

MAP is excited to be offering you an all inclusive ticket with access to:

17 - Food & Beverage Partners (see list below)

6 - hands-on demos with tons of fun take-homes (like seed-saving with MAP Youth and screen printing with Western New York Book Arts Center)

12+ Silent Auction items from $50 to $500, whether it's your first time participating in a silent auction or not, we have everything from The Black Sheep's famous Sticky Toffee Pudding basket, to a farm photo series by MAP's Farm Manager Katie Pfohl, and original art by Buffalo's local artist Marie Hassett.

And finally, live music by Tough Old Birds & Glass Birds (its an accidental theme!).

All this from noon-4pm on October 5th (and 100% of proceeds goes back to MAP!).
